Welcome to EditPartner.  A text editor for Windows intended to be a replacement editor for NotePad.  EditPartner has all the features of NotePad with the following additions:

 o Built in spelling checker
 o Search and Replace
 o Edit files up to 16 megabytes in size.
 o Redo to compliment the Undo command.




INSTALLATION

No fancy install program is needed.  Just make a directory for Edit Partner and copy the following files into it:

 EDITPART.EXE
 EDITPART.HLP
 ACROP.DCT


To make the icon for EditPartner available:

  In Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups:

    In the Program Manager open the window you want EditPartner to show in.
    Go to the File Menu and click New.
    Make sure Program Item is selected in the windows that pops up and click OK.
    Click on Browse and find the EDITPART.EXE file. Then click OK.
    Now click Change Icon to see the icon for EditPartner and click OK.
    You can now run EditPartner by clicking on its icon.


  In Windows 95:

    The icon for EditPartner will be available in the directory where you
    copied it.  You can run EditPartner by double clicking on the icon.
    If you want to make EditPartner available from your Start Button on the
    Task Bar click once on the EditPartner icon and while holding down the
    mouse button drag the icon to the Start Button and release it.





REGISTRATION

  If you use EditPartner for more than the 30 day evaluation period you
  should send $25 to Acropolis Software to register.  You will receive a
  disk containing the latest version of both the program and the dictionary.
  Please use the order form to register.
  If you do not use the form, please specify that you are registering
  EditPartner and indicate your preferred dictionary: US or British.

  Purchases of 10 or more copies will receive a site license package
  which consists of two (2) master copies of the latest version and an
  agreement that you can make the specified number of copies.  Site
  license are charged $12.00 per copy they wish to make.
